I am a retired United States Air Force Senior NCO. During my service time I was a Law Enforcement Specialist, Computer/Radio Operator and later a DISA Warranted Tester. I was stationed at Hickam AFB, HI; Lowry AFB (Annex), CO; Kelly AFB, TX; Yongsan Army Garrison, ROK; Tinker AFB, OK and lastly (in more ways than one) Gunter, AFB, AL. I was on Temporary Duty a lot my last 10 years of service going all over Europe, the US, and the Pacific bases.

After retiring from the USAF, I was a manager at a Telecom (that I prefer to remain namless). I worked in Texas and ran crews across a 5 state region.

I am the Past Commander and current Adjutant of the American Legion Post 30 in Paris, TX; Judge Advocate, Dist 1;Zone Commander Dist 1;Dept Vice Chair Marketing, Media and Communication.

For HF from QTH: I'm running an ICOM IC-7300, Boom Microphone and ICOM SP-38 external speaker and a MFJ-939 Automatic Tuner. All connected with Win4IcomSuite, N3FJP ACLog, WSJT-X and JTAlert. Im using an off-center dipole (88ft one end and 44ft on the other) that is 35' high and an inverted V, ends are at 10' high and uses a 4:1 balun. The long end is pointing almost due south and the short end is pointing almost due north.

For 2m from QTH: I have an ICOM IC-2300H with a Ringo Ranger mounted on a 35' pole.

For POTA Activations: I'm running an ICOM IC-7300, Hand Microphone, A10 over ear headphones and a MFJ-939 Automatic Tuner. All connected with N3FJP ACLog, WSJT-X and JTAlert. Im using an End Feed Verticle Dipole with a UJM-150 End Fed Antenna Matcher on a 17'+ mast (still experimenting). Currently planning on 20, 40, 30 activations with both SSB and digital. Power is provided by a Mighty Max 12 Volt 18 AH Deep Cycle Sealed Lead Acid Battery using n Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology. Recharging with a Battery Tender Jr. Battery Maintainer. I have a 'Solar Power Generator' that keeps battery charged and able to meet other needs also.
